Blog Welcome for Seattle and Eastside Families
I’m so glad you’re here. I created this space to help Seattle and Eastside families better understand Special Education, navigate the IEP process, and feel more confident making decisions about their child’s education.
After years of working on both sides of the IEP table, I know how confusing and frustrating the process can feel, especially when you’re not sure what to ask for, don’t feel heard, or simply want to understand whether your child is getting the support they need.
On this blog, I’ll break down IEPs, evaluations, behavior supports, accommodations, parent rights, and other parts of Special Education into practical information you can actually use. My goal isn’t to tell you what to fight for. It’s to help you understand the process, ask better questions, and work toward solutions that make sense for your child.
